Clayton DECA Attends District Competition

The Clayton High School DECA chapter participated in the Marketing Competitive Events Conference in Raleigh on December 4, 2023. The Chapter had 93 student members participate. Members participated in various roleplay events in areas such as retail merchandising, entrepreneurship, sports marketing, hotel and lodging, restaurant management, and travel and tourism. This year the chapter had 6 members recognized as district finalists, 10 members recognized for high test scores, and 7 members recognized for high roleplay performances. Students will now move on to participate in the state conference in Greensboro in February.

Clayton High School boasts a strong membership of 125 students in DECA. Advisors are Natalie Everett, Susan Perdue, and Rosie Cullins. Here, DECA members pose while at District Competition in Raleigh.
