JOCO WORKS

JOCO WORKS is an industry-led collaborative supported by education, business, civic, and government partners created to meet the Johnston County, North Carolina (JOCO) workforce needs of the future. The collaborative will culminate in a curriculum and virtual experience-based career exposition specifically for 8th grade students. 

JOCO WORKS PRO: Youth Professionalism Conference

JOCO Works PRO is an annual Youth Professionalism Conference for JCPS 10th-12th graders who are interested in completing work-based learning opportunities during high school. At this event, students receive training on essential workplace readiness skills to better prepare them for the world of work.

JOCO WORKS NOW: Navigating Opportunities at Work

JOCO Works NOW is a partnership between local Chambers of Commerce, area employers, and Johnston County Public Schools Career & Technical Education (CTE) to provide a structured, summer work-based learning (WBL) opportunity for students. Work-based learning is an educational strategy that provides students with real-life work experience where they can apply academic knowledge, refine workplace skills, build effective relationships, and graduate work-and life-ready.
