Discover the many facets of education through class discussion, observation, and participation in public school classrooms. Examine your aptitudes for teaching, learner needs and development, including students with exceptionalities, and the history, trends, and governance of education.
Teaching as a Profession II
Learn about the importance of positive learning environments, curriculum development, and practice using a variety of instructional strategies.
Teaching as a Profession Field Experience
Taken the same year as Teaching as a Profession II, you will participate in guided and independent classroom leadership activities while being mentored by your cooperating teacher. This field experience gives you the opportunity to apply the skills and tools learned in Teaching as a Profession I and II.
Get Certified
Basic School Age Care (BSAC)
The BSAC certificate ensures that school age educators have the developmentally appropriate tools and techniques needed to see students succeed.
Pre-PAC Education Fundamentals
Certificate promotes continuing education at the post-secondary level to prepare for careers associated in education and training.
